Wedding Anniversary Quotes

I have been thinking a lot about weddings and anniversaries lately because so many people in my life recently got married, are getting married soon or are celebrating a wedding anniversary. Spring time is a lovely time of year and I know a lot of people like to enjoy this new season with a new commitment to their partner. The weather is usually fairly nice so I can see why so many people decide to get married during these months. In fact the beginning of next month I am attending one of my friends wedding and I am so excited. Remind me that I still need to buy a dress for her wedding.

Anywho, little known fact about me is that I sometimes make handmade greeting cards. I have thought about starting a little business one day when I get really good at it. I like to personalize them for people close to me and just enjoy doing it. Usually I write my own words in them, but I have been searching for quotes lately – for inspiration as well as to use. Here are a few of my favorite wedding anniversary quotes that I found on AnniversaryQuotes.net.

Skwag is a new iPhone app that allows women to take pictures of their shoe collection and swap with people close to them. It is a free, elegantly designed marketplace that allows users to upload their personal shoe collection and swap them with others. All shoes are welcome, from practical Converse to beautiful heels.

Skwag shoe app 1

Skwag users simply photograph and upload their shoe collection via the app, add a personal description, and then send them onto the marketplace for others to browse. When somebody comes across a pair of shoes they love, they can give them a thumbs up to alert the owner of their interest. Flashback Friday’s: Episode 10

flashback fridays

Hey there! Thank you for stopping in and reading today. Welcome to another episode of Flashback Friday’s where I share with y’all about what I had going on during my week. I can’t believe I actually made it to Episode 10 without skipping any Fridays. This has probably been the only thing that I have actually been pretty consistent with when it comes to blogging. *WOO HOO* I was hoping that I would have been more successful with NaBloPoMo Posts this month but things do not always go as planned. And that is quite alright. I have been working on some drafts lately so next month there should be more of a variety of posts for y’all to read.

During the weekend my niece slept over so. It is always wonderful to spend time with her – she is growing up so fast. She sang songs from her favorite movies/shows as well as got me to watch over 2 hours of My Little Pony Equestria Girls. I look forward to having kids one day but having a niece and nephew is such a wonderful experience and good practice sometimes too. I love them so much and want to spoil the heck out of them most of the time.

Now that I’m working again I don’t have time to binge watch Netflix on random days of the week, but I have been watching Daredevil and I am really enjoying it. We watch 2 or 3 episodes every couple of days and it just keeps getting better. I like all of the characters even though in general I can’t stand the actress that plays Karen (because she annoyed me so much in True Blood
) lol. Other than that I continue watching and look forward to the fight sequences. I don’t want it to end but once it does a have a gazillion shows on the DVR that need to be watched – I try my best to keep it under 87% but that never lasts very long. I will get to them eventually. Thanks to Google Chromecast we can watch Netflix on our awesome TV instead of a the small laptop screen.

One thing that I have been doing better this time around (when it comes to working) is bringing a home lunch. I used to spend so much of my hard earned money every week on lunches (and sometimes snacks or coffee.) I have been pretty good at remembering to make lunches (and actually remembering to bring them with me.) I do intend on spending a little time looking up some creative lunches on Pinterest so that I am not always eating the same boring thing everyday. Let me know what your favorite home lunches are.

Rowling (she got fired from her job from writing too much) and Hugh Jackman (he got fired from his job for talking too much.) It was a great read and an excellent reminder to just keep going.

20% OFF AVON Coupon Code

Some of you may or may not know that I am an Independent Sales Representative for AVON. I have sold AVON in the past and stopped doing it for a long time because I got really busy and life happened. In 2015 I started selling AVON again because I love the products and the business opportunity.

Back when I first sold AVON they did not have the ability for representatives to have an online store. Now that they do it makes my life a lot easier as well as makes it easier for my customers that no longer live nearby to buy AVON. I think this is one of AVON‘s greatest ideas ever.

If you are interested in purchasing AVON products, feel free to shop my online store. The great thing about it is that you can shop at your convenience, day or night. Also, there are so many additional deals and discounts that are strictly for online customers.

If you want to save on your first online purchase you can use the below AVON Coupon Code to save 20% OFF. This special is only good for new eCustomers so make sure you buy all your favorites. Most of my customers will buy some gifts for people with their AVON coupon code and stock up on some of their favorites.

At my AVON store you can shop 24/7 and have your items shipped directly to your door. If you sign up as a new eCustomer and spend a minimum of $50 you will get 20% off of your purchase by entering the AVON coupon code WELCOME at checkout.

Blog Life: How I Am Going To Grow As A Blogger

Set a spring resolution: what is one thing you’re going to do differently this spring to grow as a blogger?

The idea of growing as a blogger can make you nervous or excited. I tend to be more excited, but to be honest, sometimes I am extremely nervous to push past limits and try things I have never tried before. I think that change is good, however, at the same time I know that moving from one point to another comes with concerns as well. I try to remind myself that there may be some bumps in the roads (or even full-on roadblocks) but if I really want something I can usually push through and come out successful. All the bloggers that inspired me were once where I am so I know that anything is possible.

my blogging goals hertaintedlips

I have been doing little things here and there but one thing that I really need to work on is taking a look at my Blogging Goals and make sure I am doing what it takes to reach those goals. I need to hold myself accountable. Luckily I found 3 great blogging accountability partners so I have others that are going to check up on me.

As far as my actual blogging goals go, I may have to add additional goals and/or modify the ones that I already have. I think I can break some of them into bit size pieces or change them all together so that they are more in line with what I am trying to accomplish (which changes often.) I look forward to working on my blogging goals and figuring out what works and what doesn’t.

So the main thing I will be focusing on is modifying and working towards my blogging goals which will in turn help me to grow as a blogger.

Book Review: Satellite, The Satellite Trilogy Part I by Lee Davidson

This eBook was given to me in exchange for an honest book review of it on my blog. This review is my honest opinion of the book and I was in no way compensated in exchange for a positive review. Some of the links below may contain affiliate links in which I may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you if you decide to purchase the book.
Book: Satellite, The Satellite Trilogy Part I
Author: Lee Davidson

Satellite Triology Lee DavidsonThe beginning of this story was a slow read, however, once I got into it I really enjoyed it. The more that I read, the deeper that it pulled me in. It speaks from the view of a man in the afterlife and uncovers the love and longing that he has for the woman that he left behind. He wants so much to live on in human form and is not concerned about the consequences he may face if he attempts to connect with her. As a Satellite or Guardian Angel, he is given responsibilities and he has little to no concern towards the consequences he may face if he ignores them. There is a major plot twist that I didn’t really see coming and it was a nice surprise.

As far as characters go, I really liked them – even the stubborn main character, Grant, who is a mans-man. He is not very in touch with his feelings and I think I would have liked him a lot more if he was. I feel like his feelings were being buried and if they had been revealed I would have probably been in tears after reading this book.

I enjoyed the plot, however, I do think that it was missing information about actually being a Satellite. I am not sure if the other books cover this but I think that there was some potential for a great story (within the story) about the paranormal world that Grant is thrust into. More background information about how they came to be and their history would have been really exciting to read about.

The ending really left me wanting more and I am very interested in reading the next book in the trilogy. I would love to see what happens next to Grant and the other characters. Also, I am hoping that the next book digs a bit deeper into the history of the Satellites. After reading Satellite, I really wanted to watch Ghost because it has that same feeling you get when the two lovers in the film want to be connected again and will do just about anything to do so. This book is a perfect read for a Friday night when you want to curl up and enjoy some hot tea.
