As we’ve been seeing from the #womenslives initiative, all of our lives are newsworthy. Write a press release covering things you’ve accomplished in the last five years.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SINGLEVILLE, Hawaii – March 9, 2015 – A lot has happened in the past five years, however, the two major milestones revolved around work life and love life so I will give you the short version of it.
Work Life: For the past 5 years I was with the same company. I started at a supervisor level and was able to work my way up to Store Manager. I was not only in charge of my growth with the company but the women that I worked with along the way as well. It was amazing and fulfilling to see the women that I worked with grow with the company along with me. Even though I decided to leave the company last October it was a great journey that will never forget and will always be appreciative. I was able to gain experience as well as train others to help them grow as well.
Love Life: I had not had a serious boyfriend for quite awhile and kept meeting the WRONG guys. About 2 years ago I started talking to this guy that I met online and nothing really came of it for awhile. We lost contact for a bit and then we suddenly started talking again (picking up where we left off.) I was hesitant to meet up with him because the last guy I had talked to ended with a horrible experience. I think I unconsciously sabotaged the times this new guy wanted to meet up. I was trying so hard not to take him seriously because I didn’t want to get hurt. I eventually let my guard down and we met for dinner. We totally hit it off and ended up being together for about a year.
Even though we broke up I find that I am no longer as guarded as I used to be because I saw what was possible if I opened myself up to love.
There have been a lot of bumps in the road along the way, however, things have always worked out for the best in the end.
