Amelia Rue Cora 4-Piece Bracelet Set (Retail Value: $58): I absolutely love this set and I can’t wait to wear it out and about. They are so pretty alone or together.
Costa Mes Supply Isla Two-Tone Decorative Vase (Retail Value: $24): I am in love with this vase. The colors go with the theme of my home without being over the top.
Sweet Wishes Premium European Chocolate Bar (Retail Value: $5): So happy to get a snack in this box.
Luxe Beauty Lavis Me 5-Piece Face Mask Set (Retail Value: $34): This sounds like the perfect mask set for me and I’m excited to use it. Will edit the post once I do. Sounds pretty expensive for a mask set so I will see if it is worth it.
Steve Laurant Orchard Lip Oil (Retail Value: $20): I am super excited to use this. It is a translucent pink and doesn’t seem sticky at all. Light scent.

I recently purchased Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides Powder and really enjoyed my experience with it. I thought that a short review of my experience with it might be helpful to others that are interested in purchasing it.
The company claims that it “helps to improve the health of your hair, skin, nails, joints and ligaments, and tendons. I have tried collagen powder before but did not have a full container so I couldn’t write a review of my experience. I can’t remember the brand I used in the past but Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides Powder had good reviews so I thought I would give it a try.
The container has a scooper inside of it to measure out the servings. It is recommended to use 1-2 scoops and mix it in a cold or hot beverage. I tested it out with soda – do not recommend. It turned into a foamy mess. My next try was coffee and that was a great experience. I initially started with 2 scoops but ended up doing just one scoop every morning.
When they say it is unflavored they truly mean that. I tried some in some water and there was barely any taste to recognize so I believe you can mix it in most beverages. Here is my experience with Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides Powder.
Skin: My main reason for purchasing the powder was to improve my skin as it has been acting up lately – random redness and dry patches as well as acne here and there. I was pleasantly surprised by the results. My skin started evening out, a lot of the redness went away and my skin started feeling smoother and supple.
Hair: I did notice that the new growth of my hair felt a bit softer than usual so that was a cool discovery.
Nails: Now this was an added bonus to using Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides Powder. My nails grew long and were stronger and harder than they have been for awhile. They are so long that it is almost difficult to type right now – I’m not used to having long nails as it has been awhile.
Joints, ligaments, and tendons: Now this I don’t really have much to report about as I didn’t feel any significant improvement in my joints. I have some sports injuries that cause me discomfort but I didn’t feel any true changes in that.
Overall I was pleased with Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides Powder as it helped me in more ways than one. I would definitely purchase this again.

Violet Harper Isla Layered Necklace and Black Druzy Earring Set (Retail Value $58): This is probably my favorite item from this months box. I absolutely love the gold-plated necklace – I can see myself wearing it again and again – and the earrings are super cute.
Lily’s Sweets Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups (Retail Value $4):
Canyon Moon Midnight Rose Scented Candle (Retail Value $18): This candle comes in such a pretty container and I absolutely love the jasmine & gardenia scent that it has. I will burning it soon to fill my room with it’s pretty aroma.
Book: Good Vibes, Good Life: How to Self-love is the Key to Unlocking Your Greatness by Vex King (Retail Value $18): I was happy to discover a book in this months box since I love to read. I will be adding this to my Sunday reading list.
Sunday Rain Massage and Body Oil in White Jasmine (Retail Value $14): This oil has such a pretty scent. You can use it as a massage oil or put a few drops in your bath.
As I mentioned before, even though it is marketed and named in this way, this box is not just for singles. There are a lot of great items in each box and I think it would also make a great gift subscription for the holidays. Get a lovely surprise box delivered to your door every month.

As I mentioned in a previous post I have started ordering a couple of subscription boxes and FabFitFun was one of them. I have seen unboxing videos as well as read reviews on them and it seemed like a box that was really worth it to order. My sister has also been a subscriber for awhile and I have eyed up some of the things she has received so that was another reason I thought this would be a great box to order.
Botkier New York Bond Tote in black (Retail $128.00): I chose this bag to give as a gift and it works perfectly for the receiver. The only thing that would keep me from purchasing it at the retail price is that the inner lining is poor quality.
P.J. Salvage Grey House Slippers (Retail $45.00): These slippers are super comfy! I love the inner lining.
Original Pink Make Up Eraser (Retail $20.00): I had been looking into some sort of cleansing pads and this should work perfectly.
Winky Luxe Uni-Brow Universal Eyebrow Pencil (Retail $16.00): I don’t usually use eyebrow pencils so this was my least favorite item. I will probably go ahead and give it to someone as a stocking stuffer.
Terre Mere Aloe and Tea Tree Toner (Retail $54.00): I haven’t used this yet, I am waiting to use up my Ole Henrikson toner first. It does smell amazing though.
Wei Two-in-One Purify and Glow Mask Collection (Retail $45.00): The packaging for this is so pretty and I wish they had made it so that I could reuse it again. I’m super excited to use this.
Skin & Co Whipped Polishing Cleansing Cream with Truffle Extract (Retail $28.00): This is probably my favorite item. I have been falling in love with all of Skin & Co’s products lately.
Grace & Stella Dr. Pedicure Exfoliating Foot Mask (Retail $20.00): Also excited to try this. I went back to the shop and purchased more so that I could have another one for myself and one for my sister.
The box also came with coupons/coupon codes.
One thing that is cool about FabFitFun is that if you missed something from a previous box or really enjoyed something you can also go to their shop and purchase items for yourself or for gifts for others at a discounted price. Their shop offers free shipping for all orders over $25.
They also offer exclusive deals for other websites and products.

If you’re like me you have a supply of beauty products to use up. I seem to have collected face washes, moisturizers and other products in the recent past and I tend to use random ones – whatever is right there to use. However, I told myself that I would start to use things more consistently so that I can use items up so that lead to this post.
Some of these products I may have talked about in the past, however, I may have a different opinion on them now since I used the product up.
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel – $5.99 and up: This face wash leaves my skin feeling soft and cleansed. Not over-cleansed or stripped like a lot of face washes do. Just the right amount of cleansing and skin balancing that I like. I had the trial size of it and can’t remember when I got it from but I would definitely purchase the full size.
Olhenriksen Counter Balance Oil Control Hydrator – $36.00: This brand never disappoints. I have used several of items from their oil control line and have been pleasantly surprised. This line is said to control oil, mattify, reduce the look of pores, does not strip the skin and is noncomedogenic. This hydrator makes my skin feel soft and supple. It also keeps the greasies away for most of the day. I absolutely love the scent. It reminds me a spa so I feel like I am treating myself every time that I use it. I purchased this as part of their Balance it All Travel Kit which included their Balancing Force Oil Control Toner and Find Your Balance Oil Control Cleanser. I am really thinking about purchasing the full size set in the future.
Garnier Clearly Brighter Argan Nut Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser – $7.99: Though this cleanser left my skin feeling clean, I did not think it was as gentle as it claims. The little beads (which I’m assuming are pieces of the argan nuts) are a bit rough on the skin. The actual gel part, however, got my skin cleansed and feeling good. As far as brightening, I do feel it helped to brighten my skin a bit. It wasn’t glowing but it did the job. I hate to throw products out and didn’t have anyone to pass this on to so I decided to use it up – which it felt like took forever, lol. I believe this was gifted to me by my sister and I would not purchase this again.
Skin & Co Truffle Therapy Polishing Micro-Exfoiliating Truffle Face Gommage – $26.00: This was gifted to me by my sister and she used most of the product but there was enough in it for me to get several uses out of it. This was the 1oz tube so I’m assuming it is a trial/small size as it comes in 5oz tube as well. One thing I love about this is the smell – yummy and almondy. It has apricot kernels, truffle extract and almond oil in it. I like that it was exfoliating without being too rough on the skin. My skin soaked it right up and felt soft and supple even after the first use. It says to use 2-3 times a week so that is what I did (while using my other face cleanser on off days). I do think it softened up my skin and helped with some of the strange dry patches I’ve been having lately.

Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in 1995: This was the first color that I tried and it was the perfect nude (for me). It glided on smoothly and after it “dried” my lips felt soft to the touch. As far as wear it lasted for most of the day without cracking or smudging – even after I ate some food and sipped out of a straw. I can see why this is one of their top sellers – I think it would look great on many different skin tones.
Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Wine Down: This color is a delicious wine colored liquid lipstick.
Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Groupie: If you like to shake things up a bit you would love this color. It is maroon with just the right amount of sparkle in it.
I also purchased Gerard Cosmetics Buttercream Lip Scrub. The company states that it can remove matte lipstick as well – I didn’t try it as I didn’t want to use up some of the product doing that.
I would absolutely purchase more colors of their Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick as I love the formula so much. What’s great about Gerard Cosmetics is that they are always having some sort of sale so check back with them to see when your favorites are on sale.
